Hermes-Ural LLC produces elliptical heads, an important component of reservoirs operating under high pressure. An elliptical head with flanged edges is used for tanks, vessels, and boilers of various modifications. These plants are intended for oil-and-gas and oil refining, agricultural, food processing, chemical, and other enterprises.
Features
Hermes-Urall heads can have a base with a diameter of 1 to 3.4 mm and wall thickness of 0.4 to 2.6 cm. Actual dimensions are chosen based on the climatic conditions of operation, materials, and a number of other factors.
Elliptical heads are made of steel selected in accordance with GOST 34347-2017 and individual calculations considering the system pressure, characteristics of the medium, maximum and minimum temperature of the conditions a tank, vessel, or machine operates.
Manufacture employs the cold forming technique. As a result, the customer gets a durable stainless flanged accurately designed unit (dimensional deviations do not exceed 1%) with a flawless surface.

Heads are made without side cutting, heat-treated, with high tempering.
We can cut the side with chamfering for further welding according to the customer’s design documentation, and weld the central technical hole on heads 1000-8-250 and 1200-8-300 with 100% ultrasound inspection of the seam.
Extreme head size and shape deviation:
- deviation of the inner/outer diameter of the cylindrical part of the flanged bottom: no more than +/- 4 mm
- relative ovality: up to 1%
- thinning: up to 15% of the initial thickness
- other specifications are compliant with GOST 34347-2017
The warranty period is at least 18 months from the commissioning date, but not more than 24 months from the date of shipment from the manufacturer.
