Flat-convex head dimensions
- D = 1,000÷4,300 mm
- s = 4÷26 mm
- R=1.2…1.4D
- r=50 or 100 mm
- h1≥3.5s
Flat-convex heads are used in industrial and main pipelines for plugging the end holes; in cylindrical tanks and machines of small diameters operating under low pressure or for filling. Products have a slightly convex bottom and flanging for a sound connection with the shell.
Features
A flat-convex head is manufactured by cold forming therefore, there is no heating involved. This type of metalworking employs powerful presses equipped with special stamps. All this ensures that products of the same batch have negligibly low dimensional differences.
You can order products with a diameter of 100 to 430 cm and thickness of 0.4 to 2.6 cm. The height of the cylindrical part of flanging depends on the thickness of walls—which are manufactured from high-grade steel:
- carbon steel
- cold-resistant steel
- stainless steel, etc.
A cylindrical tank or a container of another type is jointed to a workpiece with the help of a welding machine.
